Key West Beauties: Twin 48- and 34-Foot MTIs in Action

Despite some unfavorable weather this morning, a speedonthewater.com photo shoot in Key West, Fla., went off as planned and chief photographer Pete Boden snagged some beautiful images of eight different boats that are going to be featured in the Speed On The Water 2017 Year In Review print magazine coming out in January.

Krazy Kolors Adding Paint to New M31 Widebody from DCB

In an unusual twist for the team at DCB Performance Boats in El Cajon, Calif., Tony Chiaramonte isn’t planning to run the recently delivered M31 Widebody catamaran with its new owner until sometime next year. In fact, it might not be until the Desert Storm Poker Run in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., in mid-April before owner Mike Vigil and his wife, Rose, get their hands on the 31-footer that is powered by a pair of Mercury Racing 700SCi engines and No. 6 drives painted Devil Red and Raven Black to match the boat’s unique graphics.

Wright Performance Powerboats 360 Catamaran No. 2 Complete

With its paintwork, interior installation and rigging finished at Performance Boat Center in Osage Beach, Mo., the second Wright Performance Powerboats 360 sport catamaran will be headed for Key West, Fla., tomorrow. Starting Thursday, the twin Mercury Racing 400R outboard engine-powered 36-footer will be displayed at the Florida Powerboat Club’s Key West Poker Run Village adjacent to the Conch Republic Seafood Company restaurant, the de-facto headquarters for the 25th annual event.

The public will get its first look at the second Wright Performance Powerboats 360 catamaran (above) late next week in Key West, Fla.

Gallery Of The Week: DCB’s M28R Catamaran No. 5

Since introducing their M28R Widebody catamaran a little more than sixth months ago at the annual Desert Storm Street Party in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., the team at DCB Performance Boats has sold six of the exquisite custom 28-footers powered twin Mercury Racing Verardo 400R outboard engines. Two days ago, the El Cajon, Calif.-based company’s Tony Chiaramonte and Jeff Johnston DCB M28R hull No. 5 to its owners and acquainted them with their new pride and joy.

Fountain Showcasing Updated Center Consoles In Fort Lauderdale Show

Visitors to South Florida’s Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, which opens today at noon and runs through Nov. 5, will get a look at a couple of "refreshed" Fountain performance center consoles, according to a press release from Iconic Marine Group, the Washington, N.C.-based parent company of the Fountain, Baja and Donzi powerboat brands. The company will have a new 34-foot center console and a new 38-foot center console at the docks (Red Zone CD—slips 539-541) all week at the Bahia Mar Marina.

Deep Impact to Showcase Extensive 2018 Lineup in Fort Lauderdale

Along with the newly redesigned 2018 Deep Impact Boats 399 Cabin, the Miami-based performance center console builder is planning to showcase a 360 Cabin model as well as a sensational custom-painted 399 Open at next week’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (Nov. 1-5).

Formula Boats Ready to Debut New 430 All Sport Crossover

More than six months ago, Formula Boats announced that its new 430 All Sport Crossover—a 43-foot quad outboard-engine-powered model “designed with the offshore adventurer in mind”—would be released in the fall. True to its word, the Decatur, Ind., company is going to be showing off the new 430 ASC at next week’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (Nov. 1-5).
