SBI Announces Air Dates For Key West Worlds TV Program

Super Boat International has released the air dates for its third and final STIHL-backed television program—produced again by JM Associates—covering its annual Offshore World Championships in Key West, Fla. Air dates for the three-part NBC Sports program chronicling the 37th annual SBI event, which ran Nov. 6-12, 2017 are as follows:

Race Day No. 1—Saturday, Mar. 31 at 1 p.m.*
Race Day No. 2—Sunday, April 1 and 1:30 p.m.
Race Day No. 3—Saturday, April 14 at 1:30 p.m.

*All airings are Eastern Standard Time.

Bruggemann To Throttle Cleveland Construction Raceboat

Veteran offshore throttleman and renowned race- and high-performance-pleasure-boat rigger Grant Bruggemann is joining the Superboat-class Cleveland Construction team for the 2018 season. Returning driver Ed Smith and Bruggemann will share the cockpit of the team’s Skater 388 catamaran, which is powered by Sterling Performance engines.

Carella Cruises to Fourth F1 H2O World Championship

In the final race of the season, Team Abu Dhabi’s Alex Carella cruised to victory on Friday to take home the Union Internationale Motonautique F1 H2O Grand Prix of Sharjah and become the world champion for the fourth time in eight years.

Chiappe Wins in Abu Dhabi to Set Up F1 H2O Title Showdown with Carella

France’s Philippe Chiappe proved earlier today that he’s not going to give up his Union Internationale Motonautique F1 H2O World Championship title without a fight. The three-time defending world champ produced a simply faultless drive from pole position to take his sixth career victory at the Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi in United Arab Emirates.
